Matthew Haertzen was recruited from the State of Idaho Endowment
Fund Investment Board as the manager of investments responsible for managing US$850
million in financial assets. While with the Idaho Endowment Fund, he also served
as the investment representative on the real asset management committee setting
risk, return, and portfolio structure for the $2 billion Idaho real asset portfolio
comprising 90 per cent timberland investments. Matt previously served as vice president,
equity portfolio manager of Washington Trust Bank in Spokane and was previously
responsible for all research and analysis of the timberland investment sector at
the University of Minnesota Endowment Fund.
